Stress question

Can somone really lose their appetite because of stress? I’ve heard of people who over-eat as a means of damage control and things of this nature, or even trying to take omega 3 capsules in order to get their brain function under control and such. I have heard it referred to as comfort foods or comfort snacking so that we learn how to relieve stress in this manner, but never really lose appetite. It would be greatly appreciated if i could be told how to get my hunger back, I was on a sort of caveman diet for a while then I just lost the ability to have a want to eat. I think about maybe just eating more and it makes me feel sick to my stomach and I even get a little dizzy. I hope I am not feeding some sort of phobia or some sort of mental illness due to my problem.
